"I initially had a poor experience with this office, but only with one employee – my original review regarding that encounter remains below. Upon learning of my experience, Natalie contacted me directly. She acknowledged the errors that were made, although neither she nor the employee who made the errors was able to explain them. She apologized to me, addressed my concerns as well as she could, and used my feedback as a learning experience for her staff. Natalie was very friendly and appears to go out of her way to offer the best possible experience for her customers and prospective customers. I appreciate the opportunity I had to speak with her directly. -------- I have never communicated directly with Natalie Kelley – only her office manager, Maria Carton. I was unable to receive a quote from the website due to an existing policy in my household. Maria contacted me and asked if she could provide a quote. I provided my insurance requirements. She provided a quote. However, the quote was not what was requested: - I requested a $500k CSL – this is the one thing she got correct (on one of the two included quotes). - I explicitly told her that I did not want the Safe & Save discount – she included it. - I requested GAP (loan payoff) coverage – she excluded it. - I requested uninsured motorist property damage – she excluded it. - I requested a PIP limit of at least $100k – she quoted with $25k. - I requested specific comp/collision deductibles – she chose different amounts. - I requested no roadside or rental coverage – she included both. Upon receiving the quote and seeing that she had chosen to provide something that was wrong in every aspect other than my requested $500k CSL, I brought the issues to her attention. I also mentioned the fact that her quote for incorrect coverage was approximately double what I had received elsewhere for the coverage I had requested. She responded by stating that she didn’t understand how they could provide such a low quote and claimed that the quote from the other insurer didn’t comply with Oregon law. Her claim was blatantly false and contradictory to ORS 742.502. The mishandling of my quote artificially reduced the price from the coverage that I had requested. Though I don’t know the net effect, the lower limits and exclusions of requested coverage certainly reduced the quoted price. The inclusion of the Safe & Save discount further reduced the quoted amount by 10%. To be completely clear, I’m not saying that State Farm is the problem, nor am I saying that Natalie Kelley is the problem. However, in the end, I never received a quote that met my request. I can’t say if it was incompetence or intent, but it was a very poor customer service experience."

"This is such a personable State Farm office! Everyone there does an amazing job, they are very friendly and they are all fully licensed! They were able to help set up my auto insurance, renters insurance, life insurance, even life insurance on my kiddos, additional liability insurance to protect my butt from being sued, etc. I love having a local office as well. "I thought things were going pretty well, but on multiple occasions communication wasn't the best. Originally I paid all policies we had up front, minus our life insurances. When the six month auto policy was up for renewal, I began correspondence with my insurance agent over a month in advance to be sure I could switch to monthly payments post renewal, and I could pay on time and know what my totals were. I contacted them on October 29th, my policy running through November. I was told they could absolutely switch to monthly and to contact them closer to December 1st to remind them of the switch and get the amounts due. My life insurance policies were due on the 28th of each month, hence the date I originally contacted them for the change to occur, thinking I could need to pay a partial or full installment at the end of November to bridge any gaps in payment or coverage. I was told they would add it to Decembers life insurance due date and total ont he 28th and nothing would change at all except my payment date. I then asked the total I would need to provide and they gave it to me, so I budgeted accordingly. Fast forward to today, I go into my app to pay a few days early before things got busy with holidays. I find a larger total due for my auto monthly. I text the staff that the amounts in the app do not reflect what she disclosed to me weeks before and throughout our communication around this that began almost two months ago now. Maria Carton, the current office manager, tells me the higher amount is correct because the policy was a month overdue! Not once in any of our back and forth and all questions asked and answered was this mentioned, in fact, the statement that "the only thing changing is the date that you pay" goes expressly against the prior claim of overdue. Hiccups happen here and there but this seemed purposeful and didn't instill and trust in ethical processes between customer and agent. It would lend to worry that in the case of needing to make a claim, communication wouldn't be clear and I couldn't count on what I was being told. I'll be shopping around for other providers and shifting all policies from Natalie's office. Edited to respond. I have text messages that show billing had already been consulted and you had responded to me already saying the amount was correct, please don't forget, text had been our main mode of correspondence for months and the bill breakdown further confirmed what wasn't disclosed, and that's all that came of the supposed second consult with billing. Also have proof of that. The issue was never the bill breakdown, but the complete avoidance of the fact that a different number was stated and agreed upon, and that was absolutely never resolved once screenshot proof was sent.This reply further cements my feelings as you are again trying to twist what happened. As soon as I supplied you with screenshots via email you refused any written correspondence which leads to a lack of transparency after having communicated with me on your own accord for months prior. That's why progress stopped, that's not clear communication or timely assistance, that's shady. Just a classic case of do what you say you're going to do and be fully transparent, even via text. Had you ever acknowledged the lack of full disclosure before the fact, I may have been able to overlook it. Nice try though! Take care."
